Secret Horse is SSA’s central application in the series of applications devoted to horse racing industry. It produces predictions for UK and Irish races every day thus allowing to earn money from betting exchanges with a little knowledge about this kind of sport.

This horse betting advisory service offers a low-risk way of making profit by providing just enough info for placing a value bet including the time, Betfair coefficient, name, class, distance of the race, number of runners, weather conditions, horse’s, jockey’s and trainer’s names. All these data enable you to bet smart using either Back or Lay strategy and pick out a potential winner or loser, respectively. Secret Horse is supplied with charting facilities showing the dynamic statistics of earnings over time. All coefficients are real and change dynamically according to Betfair’s website. Stake is always set to 100$ for demonstration purposes and ease of calculations. Betfair trademarks are the property of its owners.

In Secret Horse Lite you will get a list of courses with races held on the day of the app installation, later you can add some more by buying them. Any time you run the app from your list of courses you will see those which have races that day.

The first time you run the Secret Horse app you will need to create an account by providing the desired login and password. Later you can check this info in the About tab.

Home

In the Home screen of the application you can see various data showing the results of both Back and Lay betting. For each of these strategies the app returns earnings for today, total earnings and average value of earnings since the time of the app installation. You can update this information by pressing the Update button in the top right corner of the screen.

Predictions

Tapping the Predictions tab at the bottom of the screen will bring you to the Predictions screen. Here you will see the list of horses running today according to the Lay or Back strategies at your choice. To switch between them, press the To lay or To back buttons respectively. In the brackets next to the names of these buttons you will see the number of today’s runners.

The horses in this screen are displayed according to the chosen course. To change it, tap the button in the top right corner of the screen, select the needed course and tap Done. If you select Any, the info about horses for all your courses will be displayed.

The details on horses provided in this screen include the name of the runner, time of the race, coefficient for this race, jockey’s uniform and the name of the course. If you need more detailed information, select the horse you are interested in. In the opening screen aside from the details shown in the previous screen you will see the class and distance of the race, number of runners, current weather (going), jockey’s and trainer’s names, current stake and results of the race (if it has already taken place).

Courses

When you install the app for the first time, you will automatically get a list of courses where races will be held that day. The next time you use this application you will see the ones with current races.  Also, you can add more courses in the Settings tab (see In-App Purchase) including:

In the Gold Edition of Secret Horse all courses with current races are available at any time.

Charts

To see the diagrams displaying your betting history, tap the Charts tab at the bottom of the screen. The diagrams can be plotted based on the Lay, Back strategy or both of them (to switch between the charts, tap To Lay, To Back or Both respectively). To choose the time period for the data displayed in the diagram, press the right corner button. In the appearing window you can select Daily, Weekly, Monthly (results for today, this week and month respectively) or Early (you will see the betting history for the year).

Settings

Using Settings you can Add more courses to your application, look through your Added courses, set your bookie’s Commission and choose your Time zone by tapping the respective items. The Added courses shows a list of courses you have bought, there will be an image of a horse next to the ones having races that day. Back in the Settings screen, tap Update time to set how often the data in the Home, Predictions and Charts tabs will be refreshed.

In-app Purchase

To add more courses, tap Settings at the bottom of the screen, then Add more courses. In the appearing screen you will see a list of countries you can choose from. Once you have selected a country, you will see its courses with prices for them. An image of a horse will appear next to the ones having races that day. To buy one of the courses, tap the ‘+’ symbol to the right of its name, and then tap Buy in the confirmation window. After that you will see a screen offering to enter your ID info (Use Existing Apple ID) or create a new account (Create New Apple ID). Pick one of the options, type in your email and password, and a window confirming a successful purchase will be displayed. The course you have bought will appear in Added courses.

About

In the About screen, which can be accessed by tapping About at the bottom of the screen, you will see the general description of the application and your account info. Additionally, tapping the Product Page button displays a full description of the app at the SSA website. Pressing Get more will bring you to the Apple store with other SSA’s products.
