Horse Reminder enables you to search for a horse by its name or pattern against the database consisting of about half a million entries. When choosing a runner, you are able to get the info about it and add it to the “favorites”, a list of horses selected and followed by you. You can edit the list by adding runners with good results or deleting a horse from the “favorites”. Using the application, you can see the list of “favorite” horses running today or within the nearest three days in addition to the whole list of horses running today.

The information provided by Horse Reminder includes horses’ pedigree, country of origin, total percentage of wons and the balance of coefficients throughout their performance history. Besides, there are data about:

• all previous runs (the name, track, date, time, distance, class of the run, the number of participants)
• trainers
• jockeys
• percentage of wins by distances, tracks, going, number of participants, coefficients, type of run.

With the purpose of making the selection of runners more efficient, horses can be sorted according to the time of their run or the balance of coefficients.

Welcome

When starting the app, in the “Welcome” screen you are given two choices – to register a new account or to log into the existing one in case you already have it. After the registration your account info will be displayed in the “About” screen. You will need it to log in if you reinstall the app or run it from another iPhone, so you should keep these data somewhere you can access them.

Today

After you sign in, the “Today” screen is displayed. Here you will see the information about horses which can be set to display all runners, your favorites or the list of yesterday’s winners. These lists can be sorted by the time of the run (starting with the nearest) or balance of coefficients (starting with the highest).

Using the button in the top right corner you can either choose to see runners on all courses (select “Any”) or the horses running on a particular course.

In the field with the list of horses you can see the following information: the runner’s name, jockey’s uniform, time of the run, horse’s coefficient for this run, total balance of coefficients and place of the run. Coefficients change every three minutes; you can also refresh this info by swiping down the screen. The total balance of coefficients is comprised of the sum of coefficients for the runs in which the horse has won minus the number of lost runs.

The results of runs are shown by highlighting the coefficient cells with green if the horse has one and with red in case of a loss. White cells indicate that there is no result yet. In addition, you can recognize your favorites by the indicator under the jockey’s uniform.

In the bottom of the screen you can see the number of all and your favorite horses running today (the first and second number on the “Today” tab, respectively) as well as the number of your favorites running within the next three days (the number on the “Soon” tab). Selecting any of these tabs brings you to the screen displaying the corresponding list of runners where you can see their details, add them to or remove from the favorites. You can also tap the “Search” tab which brings you to the screen where you can find a horse from half a million of entries.

Horse’s details

If you choose a runner from any of the lists mentioned above, you will see the “Horse’s details” screen. The information about the runner includes the name of the horse, country of birth, father (Sire), mother (Dam), total percentage of wons, balance of coefficients, and the horse’s form. Here you can add the selected horse to or remove from the favorites. If the chosen runner is in your favorites, you can type in some comments about it with the information you would like to keep at your fingertips.

From here you can also go to other screens showing the horse’s previous runs, trainers, jockeys, percentage of wons by distance, place, going and the number of runners, coefficient and race’s type.

Previous runs

The number in brackets next to the name of the screen shows the total number of runs in which this horse has taken part. Below it you can see the name of the run, place, date and time, distance, the place taken and number of horses in the run.

Percentage of wons by distance, place and race’s type

The “By distance” screen shows the following info: distance range, number of runs in the given distance range and percentage of wons.
The “By place” screen displays the information about the places of runs in which the horse has taken part, number of runs and percentage of wons.
The information in the “By race’s type” screen is presented similar to the previous two. It shows the types of races in which the runner has participated, number of runs and percentage of wons.

Soon

This screen shows your favorite horses running within the next three days. Here you can see the name of the horse, jockey’s uniform, date and place of the run, balance of coefficients.

Favorites

The “Favorites” tab brings you to the list of your favorite runners. By choosing a runner you can see his details (the “Horse’s details” screen) and remove him from the list of favorites.

Search

Here you can find a horse by entering his full name or the first letters of the name. When you fill this info in the empty field, a list of all horses matching the entered letters will be displayed. Next to the name of the runner in brackets is the year and country of his birth. You can also see the uniform of the horse’s jockey, runner’s father (Sire) and mother (Dam). All these data are provided to help you identify the runner you are looking for. Choosing the horse you can see his details, add him to or remove from the favorites.

About

This screen shows a brief description of the app and your account info (login and password). The “Product Page” button displays a full description of the app at the SSA website. Tapping the “Get more” button will bring you to the Apple store with other SSA’s products.
